Iesha
began her study of Middle Eastern dancing in 1974, while stationed with
her
husband in Fairbanks, Alaska. She formed her own dance troop, the Arabian
Delight, and performed with them at the Octa Greek Restaurant on a nightly
basis.
She
also taught Middle Eastern Dance for the University of Alaska. Since then
Iesha has performed in several states with the Arabian Delight. She was a
featured performer at the 4th annual International Festival in Battle Creek
MI and at the Calhoun County Fair, Marshall, Michigan.
She's
appeared on television in Alaska, Mississippi, and Michigan. Iesha, with her
troop, headlined at the Biloxi Hilton and Sheraton Hotels, performed for conventions
and luncheon groups, ladies groups and fund raising programs.
She's
performed with the Thunderbirds, Mo Bandy and his band, a Jerry Lewis Telethon,
and many retirement homes. She's taught for several dance studios, recreation
centers, and retirement homes and conducted private classes.
She
is currently teaching for the LaVista Recreation Center in Nebraska.
